Was Shaq out of the loop?
Twitter has changed human communication forever, and not necessarily for the better. Late last night, some useful tweets informed the Big Aristotle he had been traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
I know, it seems absurd. But when you consider this trade had been discussed since February, Shaq was probably a bit out of touch with GM Steve Kerr. I doubt he was calling Kerr daily to find out the latest news.
It looks like a dude named Alonso Fernandez was the one to break the news to Shaq. This article documents the tweets beautifully.
Steve Kerr should hop on the Twitter bandwagon to make his job easier. Instead of having to call players to inform them of trades in the future, Kerr could simply pop off some tweets.
