Your January 13 Wake Up Call

Busy day today, so let’s get to it.

Because the NBA is a sweaty, masculine place, let’s inject some estrogen into the equation. This is my girl Kate Winslet.  Ms. Winslet just scored two Golden Globes, and I say good for her.  And even though she’s 33 and has had two kids, Kate looks really good.

While you stare at Kate’s ears, eat your Raisin Bran and ponder the questions of the world – This morning’s quagmire: Who’s hotter: Rosario Dawson or Megan Fox?  – enjoy the following links…

- Why Kareem isn’t going to be a head coach

- Chris Kaman is out until the All-Star break.

- Robert Horry isn’t returning to the Lake Show.

- Travis Outlaw scored 33 last night against the Bulls, and crapped all over the returns of Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich – the Bulls’ co-captains.  Read more in Elliott’s round-up. Expect more trades from John Paxson as the deadline nears.

- Raymond Felton to the Mavs?

- Who’s the best point guard in the East?  At this point in time, i feel, it’s Jameer Nelson.  Oh, and here’s a nice piece on the Magic point guard.

- Breaking down Gonzaga’s Jeremy Pargo, and trying to figure out if he’ll be a bust in the NBA.

- Who won the Pacers-Warriors trade of 2007 that send Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington to the Warriors for, in essence, Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy to Indiana?

- Andre Henley, from Chicago, is the next great player.

- Making the case for Shaq as an All-Star.

- Cavs former Tar Heel re-sign Jawad Williams.

- Stackhouse could soon be on the move out of Dallas – finally.

- Shaq wants his number retired by the Lakers.  What will be more deciding: How long Kobe stays with the team?  Or how long Shaq stays on Phoenix.

- Al Horford will miss 5-10 days.

- Finally, here’s another example of blogger helping blogger – Celtics Blog speaks with Ryan McNeill from Talkhoops.net.
